LILIANA ALEMAN was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a visual artist and writer. In 1991 she published her first book of poetry and later two novels. L. A. won many prizes in literature, among them First Prize Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Second Prize Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación, Faja de Honor de la SADE.

She studied drawing and painting with Roberto Lanza and engraving with Lucrecia Orloff and Alicia Díaz Rinaldi. At the present she is teaching engraving in her workshop in Buenos Aires.

Liliana Alemán has been exhibiting regularly since 2006 in museums, culture spaces, art fairs and galleries. She has participated in different competitions and has won many prizes.
